The people of Thailand

My favourite thing about Thailand….the people and the meeting of fellow travellers from just about anywhere in this amazing wee world we all live in! It isn’t called the land of smiles for nothing after all :)
No matter where in Thailand you take yourself of to whether it be the big busy city of Bangkok or the white sandy beach islands you’ve always dreamed of going to, you’re sure to be greeted with a smiling Sa wad dee ka/krap (Ka for female, Krap for male) this is your hello from the locals. From my experience here the people of Thailand are very friendly and there’s nothing I love more than hanging with the locals, learning about their culture and trying to pick up some new thai phrases to help me along the way on my trip.

Social media is so good these days, we have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and lots more so we’re able to keep in regular contact and follow the lives of these new friends we’ve made along the way and I just love this after meeting the most amazing people at Leo tattoo parlour and Kongsiam live music bar (you MUST visit here) on Koh Phi Phi. At Kongsiam we had our own little Kongsiam family they are so caring and looked after us every night and after attending their every night for almost two weeks (yes two weeks…haha) both my sister Tracy and I earned ourselves an awesome Kongsiam t-shirt and they even joined us after work on our last night on the island. They laugh and smile at everything and you sometimes be thinking to yourself eh what’s funny, is there something on my face haha but that’s just the way they express a lot of their emotions which can sometimes lead to the confusion.
Such a bond, such a bar :)

The people of Thailand are filled with beauty, love and laughter, I can’t wait to go back for my fourth time!
