Benvenuti al Castello di Semivicoli
This beautiful place! It constantly took my breath away. I spent two nights here at the castle last week for my best friends wedding, it is the most spectacular place I have ever stayed. The Castle was formerly owned by the baronial family Perticone, built between the XVII and XVIII centuries and it stands at the top of a tiny village called Semivicoli in the Chieti Region. Gianni Masciarelli purchased the property and after the castle was carefully restored in 2004 bringing everything back to life it has been a point of interest for tourism and wine lovers.

You can take a walk through the vineyard, into the old olive mill or just relax in the secret garden tasting selected wines from the castle’s cellar.

There are 11 one-of-a-kind rooms for you to stay as a guest end enjoy the delights of the castle. Each door you enter through you’re left with a jaw dropping facial expression, it’s full of surprises, every bedroom is luxurious and each a different décor. The design enhances the ancient, historical elements of the castle, the entrance hall, the ice house, a private chapel, a XIX-century olive mill and a winery built in 1802 where the chestnut barrels still sit. The night we arrived at the castle myself and the bridal party along with both their families had a beautiful 3 course meal served by the castle staff after our bus journey from Rome.

The castle facilities include a fitness room, meeting and banquet room, three meeting rooms, private garden, breakfast room, wine bar, elevator, tasting room, garden, private parking, outdoor swimming pool and free wifi.
It is the perfect place for cultural events, meetings and concerts. It is also an ideal setting for special events and in particular, romantic weddings. The Appenine mountains – the Gran Sasso and the Majella peaks are the stunning surroundings of the Castle.
“It’s neither necessary, nor desirable for others to inevitably agree with my stances, whereas the contrary, a healthy dose of curiosity as when one stumbles across an unfamiliar creation, coupled with some wry resistance, would ironically be a far more intelligent approach to adopt towards me. Gianni Masciarelli”
You can reach the Castle easily from Rome by bus/plane/car to the city of Pescara in the Abruzzo region or contact them here:
